Juice Juice Juice!

Shortly before we moved to San Diego, we became interested in the benefits of vegetable juicing because, let’s be honest: no one gets enough vegetables. Once we got situated, we noticed juice bars were everywhere, from street corners to grocery stores, shopping centers to strip malls – if you wanted to juice, there was probably a spot to do it nearby.

We decided to give it a shot and settled on Jimbo’s … Naturally!, an all-natural grocer in nearby Carmel Valley, to start our juicing adventure.  Although Jimbo’s offers an extensive list of different juicing options, we have both found our respective favorites:

What has happened since has been nothing short of incredible. After juicing 2-3 times a week for the past month, not only do we both look and FEEL healthier, but our sleep, moods, complexions, weight and energy levels have all improved substantially.

Obviously, juicing doesn’t replace our need for fresh, cooked vegetables – but on days where we clearly haven’t hit our vegetable quota, it sure is nice to have the option to grab a quick, nutrient-packed alternative.

The convenience, taste, variety and (most importantly) nutrition are what we really enjoy about juicing. We are kicking around the idea of getting our own juicer, but for now we are happy to swing into Jimbo’s, or any of the other 17,000 juice bars nearby to get our fix.
